BACT Mixed Pairs Winners & CBC Mens Singles Draw 24

Celebration time at the Canberra Bowling Club with yet another BACT title winner today in a cracking high standard final at Tuggeranong Vikings Club. Congratulations to the Wizard 🧙 Jamie Smith 🐍 and his partner, the illustrious Ruth Moore from QRSLM, in winning the BACT Mixed Pairs 🤙
Commiserations to gallant runners-up Matt Sargeant and Jess Hogan, only going down on the last bowl as another Sarge drive unluckily bounced the jack forward 🤷
   
CBC Men’s Singles draw for Saturday the 13 th of July starting at 09:30 hrs.  Bye rounds still turn up on time as the game may play early or you will mark along with the normal practice first round losers mark the following game if needed.  Also don’t forget the Pennant’s Celebration Dinner on the same day starting @ 6pm with pre dinner nibbles and happy hour drinks.

The rules and conditions of play are as follows:

· Players are to be at the club at 09:00 for a 09:15 rollup

· CBC Uniform is to be worn

· Entry fee is $25 per player to be paid on Saturday morning

· Prize money is 1st = $200 and 2nd = $100

· The winner will be nominated to play for CBC in the ACT Champion of Champions

· Dead ends will be replayed

· ALL players are to be financial with their 2024/25 membership paid prior to commencement of play

· ALL players will be expected to make themselves available to mark after their elimination loss for the next round. This includes returning on the Sunday morning if you lose the quarter final.

· Games played on Saturday 13th, those being round 1, 2 & Quarter finals will be first to 21 points

· Games played on Sunday 14th, those being the semi-final & final will first to 25 points

· UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES are players to show disrespect or abuse umpires and markers. They are volunteers and corrective action will be taken should this occur.

Thank you for your participation in the 2024 Men’s Major Singles and we wish you the best of luck for the competition. Also changes in the men’s calendar where mens pairs will be swapped for the mixed pairs tournament. Notice of the change will be posted as Info becomes available.
