Appointment of Bar Manager
The club is very pleased to announce the appointment of our new Bar Manager, Kalpona Khanam. Please feel free to introduce yourself and make her feel welcome next time you are at the club!
Hearty thanks to those who spent many hours keeping the clubhouse and bar running while the recruitment process was under way, particularly Helen Eggins, Heather Leonard and Geoff McKay.
Transplant Games
Canberra Bowling Club has been chosen as the venue for Bowls events at the 2024 Australian Transplant Games. This is another great opportunity for exposure of the club to the media and for engagement with the wider community. The bowls events for these Games will be held on Wednesday 2nd October and Thursday 3rd October. The greens will be closed to club bowls events over those two days but all are welcome to come and watch the Transplant Games competitors battle it out. More details will be announced closer to the date.
