Pennant Season started with a bang, or we should say a few Strike Hards by the Cobras 🐍.
Our new team in Div6 put up a solid performance to QRSLM but went down 50-59, the Winstanley rink getting a couple of points.
In Div5 – and we have high hopes here – our Cobras kicked off with the 12pts and a 74-46 win over Goulburn at the Snakepit 🔥. Solid rink wins all around by messrs O’Brien, Derbyshire and Jarvie. And congratulations to young gun Will Lopez 🐍getting a win in his Cobra debut 🎉.
Div2 went on a road-trip out to Goulburn and came back with 8pts in a tight 53-50 overall win. Good 9-shot win to the Smith run led the way.
Back at home to the Snakepit where the 1s kicked off their campaign with a couple of shellacking rink wins to beat Belconnen 79-38. Boom recruit Sargeant and his close-knit rink led the way with a 27-shot win followed by (Jamie) Smith’s rink with an impressive 17-shot win. Great start to the 1s and solid showing all round Cobras 🐍.
This week however it is home games for everyone!!! So lets see if we can get wins right across the board. We would also like to introduce a new skip who is playing in the one’s , his name is Todd Trewarne who just so happens to earn the fan nickname, Todd the Wizard! Go Cobra’s
