Lawn bowls enthusiasts gathered at CBC for the highly-anticipated Prestige Pairs tournament held last Thursday 7th of Sept and Friday the 8th. Despite facing some adverse weather conditions on Friday. The Prestige Pairs tournament, brought together bowlers from various clubs in the region for two days of intense competition. Friday’s Challenges: The weather on Friday presented a formidable challenge to the participants, as gusty winds made the bowls behave unpredictably on the greens.
The Triumph of Mina Bannerman and Lois Waters:
In the end, it was our own CBC’s Mina Bannerman and Lois Waters who emerged.
Second-Place Honors:
The battle for second place was equally fierce, with Ruth Moore from the QRSL Bowls Club and Jenny Clout from the Vikings Bowls Club ultimately claiming the runner-up position. We would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to all the participants and especially the winners!
