What the Prez gets up to while some of us are just thinking about getting up or on our way to work. Canberra Bowling Club organized a stand mid March 23 at a recent Seniors Expo in Exhibition Park Mitchell. The main purpose being, a recruiting drive for more members at our club. Both Geoff and Sophie were there to answer any questions passers-by might have, as seniors make up a large proportion of Canberra’s population around 100,000 so hopefully this equates to more of them taking up lawn bowls. A large crowd visited this year post covid lockdowns and quite a few stopped at our well presented stand. 🙂
